SALTO Systems opens Hong Kong office

Spanish company SALTO Systems, one of the world leaders in wireless access control solutions, announced today (8 June 2017) that it has opened a new office in Hong Kong as part of a move to expand its coverage in the North Asia-Pacific (APAC) market by leveraging the city’s international status.

The company produces and designs end-to-end electronic locks with solutions able to provide real-time intelligence and instant control over who can access what, where and when at all times. According to its Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Mr Marc Handels, the company chose Hong Kong to set up the office on the back of huge opportunities anticipated in the buoyant North APAC market in terms of electronic locks.

“We are confident that SALTO Systems offers exactly what the North APAC market is looking for today,” Mr Handels said, adding that Hong Kong as an international business city offers a very wide range of clientele both from within the city and from the region and the world.

Mr Handels said, “We bring our long-established reputation for product innovation and excellence to an expanding market that is eager for high-quality end-to-end access control solutions and we are most excited to open this new office.”

The Senior Vice President Asia Pacific of SALTO Systems, Mr David Rees, said that the new office located in downtown Wan Chai offers sales, marketing and technical support for the brand in the APAC region. “It replicates elements from the SALTO Headquarters XSperience Centre, combined with an open workspace and training area. This would not only provide a modern work environment for local team members but also an exciting space where end-user clients, consultants, designers, architects, engineers, integration partners and installers would be able to visit and have a hands-on experience with SALTO hardware and software products.”

Mr Rees added that the opening of the XSperience Centre shows the commitment SALTO is making to Hong Kong and the region. He said, “We welcome our clients and partners to get their first glimpse of products SALTO offers.”

The Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Stephen Phillips, said, “We sincerely hope that through SALTO Systems’ presence in Hong Kong the company can leverage the dynamism and multiculturalism of Asia’s world city and realise fully the distinctive advantages of being close to its clients.”
