Danish Belt Loader System Extends to Asia

With its Asia regional sales office in Hong Kong launched in December 2016, Power Stow aims to further develop their relationship and services with existing and new customers in the Asia Pacific region.

According to the Hong Kong International Airport’s 2016 statistics, the airport served over 70 million passengers, handled 4.5 million tones of cargo and accommodated more than 410,000 air traffic movements and with more than 100 airlines connecting to over 190 destinations worldwide.

“Being one of the busiest airports in the world, it’s not difficult to imagine the sheer volume of baggage and cargo that the airport has to handle every day. Effective baggage handling certainly plays a crucial role in the entire logistic chain,” Thomas Halfdan Andersen, Vice President of Marketing and Sales Asia said. “The key competitive advantages of the extendable belt loader system include faster turnaround time of up to 30 percent, reduced manpower and improved working conditions for staff, resulting in a significant reduction in back and shoulder injuries. Furthermore, damage to baggage and floor is drastically reduced as bags no longer need to be thrown.”

Andersen also emphasised that constant product development and engineering are the main components in this very reliable and cost-effective extendable belt loader system which has reinforced Power Stow’s position as market leader in this area.

Power Stow’s customers include American Airlines, Southwest, KLM, Swissport, Menzies and other global ground handling companies and airports.

”Hong Kong enjoys an enviable geographic location. I can easily travel to Asia’s key markets in less than four hours’ flight time and develop our business in these markets efficiently,” Andersen said.
