To enhance cross-cultural links among Lamma Island residents and promote the island to a wider public, the Art Promotion Office is launching the "Lamma Mia" Public Art on the theme of “island shore”.


Red Dot Exhibition: The Essence of Design –
Creating Value (now until 14 Apr)

Red Dot Exhibition “The Essence of Design – Creating Value” touches upon the importance of good design, and how crucial it is for companies and brands to recognise that design impacts not only their aesthetic, cultural, and social aspects, but also profitability.


TELEPORT Immersive Exhibition

TELEPORT immersive exhibition is held in the Central district with a 5,000 sq ft exhibition space. It has been turned into an “experium” (experience and museum) that immerses visitors in the most futuristic and sci-fi environment at the intersection of art, science and frontier technologies. Partnership opportunities are open for brands and corporates that aspire to connect with their clients and employees through immersive and interactive digital experience.


Zaha Hadid Architects : Vertical Urbanism
(19 Jan – 3 Apr)

Curated especially for the Hong Kong Design Institute, Vertical Urbanism by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) showcases the exploration on the theme of urbanism by presenting a range of approaches taken by ZHA to create vibrant and sustainable community orientated spaces within dense urban conditions, opening up a dialogue around urbanism in the 21st century.


West Kowloon Cultural District’s Tea House Chamber Music Series: Young Pro Platform –Venture into the Unknown (25 Jan, 8 Feb, 22 Mar, 12 Apr)

The talented emerging musicians of Hong Kong’s Young Pro Platform present four unconventional chamber music concerts at the Xiqu Centre Tea House Theatre. The concerts showcase classical and contemporary music mixing strings, woodwind, brass and percussion.


FILMART Online 2022 (14 - 17 Mar)

As Asia’s leading entertainment content trading platform, the 26th edition of FILMART will continue to showcase a plethora of sectorial content produced for TV, theatres, streaming platforms and mobile for production companies, investors and buyers to connect and collaborate through online exhibitions and business matching meetings.

A new conference, EntertainmentPulse, will debut during FILMART to uncover the latest landscapes in streaming, content creation and format, explore the future of documentary and animation, and inspire the audience with the technological breakthrough in production and more.

MarketingPulse and eTailingPulse (16 – 17 Mar)

MarketingPulse and eTailingPulse offer a knowledge exchange and partnership building platform for Asia’s marketers, agencies and e-commerce experts to obtain market intelligence and learn best practice, form connections, and learn how to innovate customer experiences. The 2-in-1 hybrid conference will lead the discussion on how marketing and creativity can help attendees prepare for a world recovering from COVID-19 and operate in a marketing world of opportunities.

Art Central (22 – 26 March)

The exhibition will showcase the next generation of talent from Asia’s most innovative galleries alongside distinguished artists from around the world. Delivering the best in today’s global contemporary art practice to over 37,000 collectors, curators, critics and art lovers at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Art Basel Hong Kong (24 – 26 Mar)

In its previous 2021 edition, Art Basel Hong Kong welcomed close to 30,000 visitors with a strong line-up of 104 galleries from Asia and around the world. This year, in parallel with its physical show, its virtual platform 'Art Basel Live: Hong Kong' will continue to bring online viewing rooms, public and VIP walkthroughs live-streamed from Hong Kong.



West Kowloon Cultural District Authority Invites Tender for Artist Square Towers Project

The Authority is inviting a collaboration with industry experts for the development and operation of the Artist Square Towers (AST) Project via open tender. The AST Project, comprising three commercial buildings with a total gross floor area (GFA) of approximately 65,000 sqm (including 62,435 sqm for office use and 2,500 sqm for retail/dining/entertainment (RDE) uses), is located at the Artist Square, the heart of the District. Tender submission closes on 11 February 2022.

Design Competition for Transformation of Sensory Garden at Kwun Tong Promenade

The Energising Kowloon East Office of the Development Bureau and the Hong Kong Institute of Architects are launching a single-stage design competition for the transformation of Sensory Garden at Kwun Tong Promenade. The Competition opens to Professional Group and Student Group to collect innovative design and concepts. Registration closes on 24 January and submission deadline is 21 February 2022.


HKBU Opens Virtual Door to 'Future World'
Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) will introduce the city's first bachelor's degree for gaming design and animation from September to embrace the growing trend of online games and virtual environments. HKBU is expecting an enthusiastic response for the 20-seat programme, which will replace its popular animation and media arts concentration.

Tai Kwun - Winter Season Highlights (now till 28 Feb)

This year’s Prison Yard Festival – music from within, explores themes of music, healing and recovery to remind us of the life-affirming joy which exists in the purely abstract realm of music. In the Parade Ground, InnerGlow, a stunning, 3D projection-mapped lightshow, which plays with the historical facades and heritage, features and dazzlingly transforms these now familiar and beloved structures into unrecognisable objects.

Build4Asia Awards 2022 Application is Now Open

Build4Asia Awards celebrate the achievements, developments and innovations within the building industry. The awards honour developers, architects, interior designers, contractors, engineers, local authorities, etc., who have demonstrated professional excellence in their services and have contributed to a quality and sustainable built environment. Submission deadline is 28 February.


fDi Magazine Strategy Awards 2021- InvestHK

InvestHK has won an award for a specialism in Research & Development, and a commendation for the Talent Attraction Initiative, as part of the fDi Strategy Awards organised by the fDi Magazine:

Research and development - Hong Kong demonstrated a wide-ranging plan to encourage research and development investments in the city, with the implementation of various clusters, research funds, incubators and incentives in the form of super tax breaks. InvestHK is well-connected globally, as it looks to benefit as a knowledge-sharing hub between the East and West.

Talent attraction initiative - In January 2020, the Hong Kong government launched its Technology Talent Admission Scheme, helping tech companies to attract skilled employees for targeted technology areas. This is backed by the $500m pledged to train and pool talent as well as investing HK$3bn into research that will make Hong Kong an enticing area for employees and investors.
