According to Hotels.com’s latest "LEVEL 2021" report, 36 percent of the respondents revealed that they prefer a better hotel, 32 percent would prefer a better hotel room type. More travellers are hoping a more comprehensive travel and hotel experience.

According to data from January to September 2020, 70 percent of local hotel staycation was booked through Expedia. Due to the popular local demand, not only 4-and 5-star hotels offer accommodation packages, Expedia also offers hotel discounts on festive periods.

To encourage and support young people to work and pursue their career in the Mainland cities of the GBA, the Chief Executive announced in the 2020 Policy Address the launch of the GBA Youth Employment Scheme (“the Scheme”) to encourage enterprises with operation in both Hong Kong and the GBA to recruit and deploy local university/tertiary institution graduates to work in the Mainland cities of the GBA. The Scheme will provide 2,000 places, around 700 of which are designated for innovation and technology (I&T) posts. The Scheme has commenced in January 2021. More details…

A joint initiative between the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau and six international chambers of commerce in Hong Kong, the FIT Programme provides 12-month job placements to fresh and recent graduates at companies across different industries, offering opportunities to gain experience in creative, business management roles and more. Application by employers is open to members of the six participating chambers of commerce only from 1 to 27 February 2021.
