The HKTDC Food Expo provides an effective marketing platform for exhibitors to increase brand awareness and expand retail business. Advance Release Arrangement for Hong Kong-Manufactured Food Products Entering the Mainland Market
The HKSARG and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China signed the Cooperation Agreement, providing a facilitating arrangement for customs clearance for food products that meet relevant requirements, with the aim of shortening the time required for customs clearance, further enhancing the safety of local food products exported to the Mainland, facilitating trade, and promoting the development of the local food manufacturing industry. Upon meeting specific requirements, Hong Kong-manufactured food products with satisfactory on-site inspection of the Mainland Customs that are still required to go through sampling and testing can be released upon completion of sampling without waiting for the results. 為符合要求的食品設立便利通關安排以縮短清關所需時間，進一步保障香港輸往內地食品的安全及促進貿易便利化，推動本地食品生產業發展，政府與國家海關總署簽署《輸內地香港製造食品安全監管及口岸便利通關合作協議》（《合作協議》）的新措施。符合特定要求的港產食品，在內地海關實地查驗無異常，但仍須接受抽樣檢測，則在抽樣後可直接放行，無需等待檢測結果。詳情…
HKSARG Warmly Welcomes Expansion of IVS to Taiyuan, Hohhot, Harbin, Lhasa, Lanzhou, Xining, Yinchuan and Urumqi
The Central Government further enhances the Individual Visit Scheme (IVS) to cover Taiyuan in Shanxi Province, Hohhot in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Harbin in Heilongjiang Province, Lhasa in Tibet Autonomous Region, Lanzhou in Gansu Province, Xining in Qinghai Province, Yinchuan in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Urumqi in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, in response to the HKSARG's proposal to further expand the IVS to let residents of the eight cities explore Hong Kong's unique appeals as a tourism destination more flexibly and conveniently. Following the expansion of the IVS to Xi'an in Shaanxi Province and Qingdao in Shandong Province starting from 6 March, the IVS will cover 59 cities, including all provincial capitals in our country. AFCD Launches Hing Chun Alliance Heritage Trail
The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) launched the first section of the Hing Chun Alliance Heritage Trail in collaboration with Lai Chi Wo village, Mui Tsz Lam village and Kop Tong village, further promoting the history, culture and life stories of the Hong Kong Geopark communities while providing an in-depth travel experience for visitors. The alliance is centred around Lai Chi Wo, which was a hub for education, economic activity and festivities in the past.

Hong Kong to Host 210 Mega Events in 2024
More than 100 mega events will be held in Hong Kong in the second half of 2024, which will bring the total number of mega events in the city to at least 210 this year covering various areas including cultural, arts and creative events, sports, conventions and exhibitions, as well as festivals, galas and carnivals. The mega events reflect Hong Kong's status as an international city and will attract about 1.7 million visitors spending approximately $7.2 billion, leading to an economic gain of about $4.3 billion in Hong Kong. Non-Chinese Citizens’ Travel Card Set
Non-Chinese Hong Kong permanent residents are now eligible for Mainland Travel Permits for Hong Kong & Macao Residents. The card-type document will enhance convenience of clearance at control points of the Mainland, facilitating non-Chinese Hong Kong permanent residents’ visit to the Mainland for business, travelling, and visiting relatives. All non-Chinese Hong Kong permanent residents can make applications to China Travel Service (HK) entrusted by the Exit & Entry Administration for travelling to the Mainland multiple times within a five-year validity period, with a stay not exceeding 90 days for each visit, without the need to apply for a separate visa for entry.
